Salsa Music + Beach + Salsa Music + Food + Salsa Music + Lots of Dancing + Salsa Music + Workshops + Salsa Music + Great People around the world = My Kinda Salsa Festival
Having a salsa festival on a beach resort is exactly how its should be done, My very first Malaysian Salsa Festival 9th - 12 August, 07 at the Swiss Garden Damai Laut Resort, gave me an experience that is both so relaxing, and yet filled with load of fun every corner you go to.
1. There's dining with fellow salsa addicts, friends, and newly found friends. ( salsa music in the background )
2. Loads of fun workshops( more salsa music )
3. A pool you can jump in after a long night of salsa & you guessed it right - there's salsa music there too
4. Loads of performances to keep you entertained.
5. Party all night long
The Plan
Check in, take some workshops, meet some people, have a couple of dances, and have load of much needed rest.
The Actual Event
Checked in, took a bachata workshop, met lots of people and had some cultural exhance too, had way too many dances ( till I got 2 nasty blister ), too many late nights, and took all the workshops ( oh so kiasu man ).
Nevertheless, I had lots of great company, esp my roomies ( Ming Siang and Ong Tou ) .
Ming Siang, SweLyn, Marion, Ong Tou
Some might say, OMG, I've never seen this side of you Jason.
Guess what you see is not what you gonna get. or never judge a book by its cover... or... ah whatever la
Lets just have fun
Just SOME of the dancers from havana estudio who were rocking the dance floor all night long, and when the music stopped at 3am, they continued by the pool with other dancers. What can I say, they are all passionate.
and bit ku ku in the head, just like me.
Anybody who can spot me in the group, gets a gift from me
I met so many people, from the states, Australia, Japan, Russia, Indonesia, Singapore, and still meeting people from Malaysia.
I wasn't have happy feet as I should but given the fact I had some crazy hectic work schedule, I was still having a blast.
Supporting the up and coming performers "Team Havana" . How not to scream like to mad to keep their spirits high up. So sexy lah.

Team Havana - SalsaSam, Seremban Puan, MianLi, OngTou, AishaGroove, Martin, CutieWenNie
Oh lucky me with AishaGroove.
Gotta thank Swe Lyn for driving and Hazel & Marion for the company.
Will post up more pictures here when I get them from the organizers and other friends ( yay, time to hunt my friends down )
